Have a Twitterless friend? We all do!

Saturday, February 18th, 2012

Or maybe you don’t use Twitter yourself. And that’s OK. That’s what we’re here for!

Indiana Hoops is a website that uses the power of Twitter to bring Indiana basketball updates to Twitter users and non-users alike.

Twitter is a fascinating medium which has been embraced by the basketball community in Indiana. Players, coaches, team officials, broadcasters, sportswriters and fans alike are sharing their insight and opinion as well as links to interesting articles all over the web.

And on days like today, when the IHSAA girls basketball regionals take place, many “tweeters” provide updates of their games in real time.

We realize that many of you don’t use Twitter, but that shouldn’t keep you from getting this info. This site organizes “tweets” so you can get a quick up-to-the-minute glance at what’s happening with your favorite team, without ever having to create a Twitter account or figure out who to follow.

Why wait until later to find out who won, when you can see the updates as they happen? Click here for our Girls regional page.

The site is a great resource for Twitter users, too. Check out a team page on game night or when news breaks to see what’s being said, without having to follow accounts you might not be interested in otherwise.

In addition to the Team Updates pages, there are a couple of pages listed under Features in the menu that you should enjoy.

“IndianaHoops Daily” organizes all the links that are tweeted by those we follow and presents them in a easy-to-read format. Each day’s best articles written about basketball in our state are in one place, updated each morning.

“Top Tweets” is a page where you can find what we feel are each day’s best tweets. Maybe it’s a great link, an interesting opinion, or a bit of insight from a player or coach…you’ll get the best of the best here.

Indiana Hoops is just getting started, and we’d love to have you make this a regular destination. Please follow us on Twitter, Like us on Facebook, or add us to a Google Plus circle and stay up to date with what’s happening here.

Thanks again for visiting IndianaHoops.com, and here’s to a great 2012 for you and for your favorite team.
